These rules will be implemented and upheld
with little if no room for argument. Please read them and take them to heart. If you have
any questions or concerns, please contact any of the wizzes or staff. Thank you!
1.
All players, including wizards and staff, are expected to respect the wishes of those
around them. You don't have to agree, but you do have to respect.
2.
By connecting to the muck, you agree to these rules as well as what's listed in our
Acceptable Use Policy (AUP). It is your responsibility to read them and know what they
are. There will be no arguing with wizards regarding the rules.
3.
All of the rules are upheld by the wizards. Should anyone be found in violation of these
rules, ignorance will not be an acceptable excuse. It is not up to the wizards to inform
you of all our rules.
4.
Administration reserves the right to record or monitor all activity on this MUCK,
terminate or limit access, or to modify these rules should the need arise, in any way,
shape or form.
5.
Harassing, threatening, or just generally bothering any other player or staffur will not
be tolerated. Violators may find their access suspended or terminated.
6.
Stealing, as it is against the law in real life, so shall it be on this MUCK. No one is
permitted to steal another player's objects, rooms, descriptions, or programs. This does
not, however, refer to stealing something in an IC situation with the owner's OOC consent.
7.
This is a PG-13 muck, though private rooms can be for adult use. This MUCK is based on an honor system and if it is
found out you flagged yourself as an adult and
you're not, you will be @toaded. That means anyone under 18 years old cannot flag himself
or herself as an adult.
8.
No one is permitted to force another player into Role Play, Tiny Sex, or anything else
that the other player does not want to do. Since TS is considered an adult situation it
must be kept in PRIVATE rooms in order not to offend and/or disturb other players. (See
#7)
9. Willingly involving a minor in any
sort of sexual act, whether consentual or not, is considered illegal. Since we'd rather
not have any sort of legal trouble, please be aware of who you are RPing with before
engaging in any sexual acts.
11. Only furry species are welcome, along
with some reptiles and aquatic creatures. No 'Gods' or god-like characters, along with
those creatures listed on our web page, are allowed. If
you have a question about your species please feel free to ask Lyonenne. She
does all character creation.
12. We would like character names to be
keep original please. Remember, too, that this is a Medieval MUCK based on European
nations. Keep the names within that time period and genre, please. Also, names like Xena,
Maid Marian or any comic book, action game, movie or story book characters we would like to avoid. Some names have been
copyrighted by the authors and we would like to avoid any hassles.
13. All new players must provide the
following information: Real name (first and last), valid email address, and birthdate.
This information will be held in strict confidence and is only intended as a means of
identifying each player given that players may change their character's name, sex and
species whenever they like.
14. Idle purges are done on all
characters that have not been logged in for three months or more, for a reasonable amount
of time. (Reasonable is defined as, an amount of time that would indicate RP or some sort
of character/player interaction. Connecting your character for 2 min every week, does not
constitute being logged on.) If you would like to keep your character and know you will be
gone for longer than three months, then you can request to have your character put into
cold storage for a set amount of time.
15. Since this is a medieval based muck,
please dress accordingly. Back in the 12th century, they did not wear crop tops and skin
tight blue jeans. The garb is similar to those you might see on “King Arthur”,
“Lord of the Rings” (See Rohan’s garb) , or even “Gladiator”. We'd like to keep things as authentic to this time
period as possible. If you have questions or would like help, please page Daeron. He is
our resident expert.
16. We encourage players to build a home
for themselves, but due to some abuses we have had to initiate the quota system. Please
keep all buildings and amenities in the 12th century or before. There were no flushing
toilets back then nor microwave ovens.
17. Combat is to be kept in medieval or
fantasy style. No bazookas, nuclear weapons, phasers, light sabers, or any other science
fiction type weapons. Also, remember this is Medieval Europe, not the mid-East or Asia.
19. Battles are turn-based free form.
Predators must get the victim's ooc permission to be killed. Unwilling victims should be
given every chance to escape. Any Questions on
this or other RP issues, page #mail Lyonenne or Daeron.
20. Mob scenes are discouraged. Unless
you're invited into a scene please stay out of the combat. Six against one are not fun
odds.
21. We would like to discourage killing
another player's character, but if the victim
is willing and says so, OOC, to everyone in the room, then its ok to do this act. But you
must give the person the opportunity to get
away or to do things to prevent the character from dying WITHOUT harassment.
Remember, if someone does something to your character in RP
without your consent, you have every right to continue as if it never happened.
22. If someone is playing unfairly, power
gaming or using things they should not, log
such activities and page #mail a wizard to complain. DO NOT take things into your own
hands.
23. Violation of the rules will result in
the following:
- First offense is issued a warning via page or muckmail.
- Second offense will result in suspension for a period of one to two weeks,
depending on the offense.
- Third offense will result in a permanent termination of the offending character
and all his/her
possessions will be recycled.
